Arches National Park
Utah
An 18 mi long paved road strings together the most prominent sites…it’s like stepping into a natural sculpture garden- over 2000 sandstone arches, giant fins, blaanced rocks and red desert drama! With Moab just 5 miles from the park, it’s easy to pick and choose when to go to the park and when to enjoy the town. Top things to see: Delicate Arch, Landscape Arch, Devils Garden, The Windows Section, Balanced Rock, Fiery Furnace. Pro Tip: timed entry permit between 7am & 4pm so if you go for sunrise/sunset you won’t need the permit! Moab = Adventure basecamp - hotels, outfitters, restaurants, bike shops and gear rentals. Staying in Moab gives you access to Arches, Canyonlands, and Colorado River Adventures. Exhausted from all the driving, we got into Moab around noon..we stopped for outstanding pizza at Antica Forma Wood Fired Pizza & Pasta and then crashed at the Hampton Inn before heading back out for spectacular sunset at Arches! www.discovermoab.com
