Canyonlands National Park

There are 3 distinct parks: Islands in The Sky, The Needles and The Maze, (there’s also a ‘Rivers’ district) all miles away from each other. We woke up in Moab early and headed out to Islands in the Sky, an immense Mesa, like the Grand Canyon, it’s vast and colorful. Somehow, when we plugged in ‘Visitor Center’ to the Nav, she took us to Needles, a maze of backcountry hikes. The journey out to Needles was incredible, we saw Wilson Arch and Hole-In-The Rock and before we got in too far in, with ginormous rock formations encroaching on the van, we realized our snafu and headed back to Islands - got a different view on the way back!
